    Adriana Medina

Givaudan is one of the largest groups of perfume manufacturers in the world. This Swiss company currently employs more than 13,500 people worldwide, spread over 145 sites in the largest cities on the planet. With a turnover of 5.5 billion Swiss francs, it is one of the 20 largest Swiss companies in terms of market capitalization. In other words, Givaudan can boast of seeing the greatest perfumers on the planet pass by and of collaborating in the development of the most notorious perfumes of our time. Among her most loyal employees, Adriana Medina has held a position there since the start of her career. Back on his career and his most beautiful works.

Adriana Medina, trained at the Givaudan school

To integrate the very closed world of perfumery, Adriana Medina chose to train at the Givaudan school, more than 70 years old. The latter provides excellent training for the perfumers of tomorrow, respecting artisanal know-how and a tradition dating back several centuries. The Givaudan school is an “opportunity to […] prepare the next generation of perfumers, who will continue to perfect their profession in our creation centers”, confides Gilles Andrier, CEO of Givaudan, “the school trains them to cooperate closely with our customers, in order to create meaningful fragrances for prestigious brands and functional perfumery manufacturers around the world ”. So, following this philosophy, Adriana Medina was formed.

    Adriana Medina’s journey at Givaudan

In addition to her diploma, obtained in 2000, Adriana Medina first worked as a trainee chemist and perfumer for six years, still at Givaudan. Indeed, a simple diploma is not enough to fully master the complexity of perfumery. Only years of experience are enough to acquire enough knowledge to make perfumes in complete autonomy. After these six years, Adriana Medina became a junior perfumer. The consecration, meanwhile, came in 2004. It was on this date that Adriana Medina finally became a perfumer, a position she held for seven years, until 2011. She then became a senior perfumer, without never leave the company that had formed it. Very attached to the Swiss brand, Adriana Medina is now its vice-president,

During this already busy career, and after having climbed all the levels one by one, Adriana Medina can boast of having worked with the biggest luxury houses on the planet such as Lancôme or Victoria’s Secret. More recently, she is the one who made the Idôle perfume, already present on all our screens and in all our perfume departments, easily identifying itself thanks to its bottle described as being “the thinnest in the world”.
