Richard Ibanez

In 2016, the Robertet house again made a lot of talk about it by winning the Creative Audacity prize. However, this sign was created in 1850. You might as well say that to obtain such a reward, it does everything to renew itself over the years. Nevertheless, it is essential to remember that this would be nothing without renowned perfumers at its service. Among these, Richard Ibanez has already signed an incalculable number of great creations.

Richard Ibanez and his greatest creations

Richard Ibanez is one of those perfumers who do not like to sprawl out over their personal life and their professional career. He is a mysterious man who much prefers to be noticed for his creations than for anything else. Richard Ibanez signed his first large fragrance in 1986 for the Divine brand. Moreover, he had the opportunity to collaborate again with this brand several times, in 2005 and 2006. In 1993, Richard Ibanez was once again talked about by making two perfumes for Sonia Rykiel. Then, he was distinguished by the creation of Pure Lavender d’Azzaro, in 2001. It followed the making of Ibiza Hippie and Into The Blue for Escada, in 2003 and 2006. From then on, the career of Richard Ibanez really seemed to be on the go. Since that day, this great creator continues to develop creative partnerships with all the biggest brands on the planet. He notably made the Marc O’Polo Women perfumes for the eponymous brand, Living Lalique and Reve d’Infini for Lalique, Marine for Jovoy Paris, Excellence for Jaguar, the Cabotine collection for Grès or the Twin for Men and Chrome United perfumes for Azzaro.

Richard Ibanez at Robertet

If Richard Ibanez enjoys such notoriety, it is also because he works for one of the most prestigious olfactory creation houses on the planet: Robertet. Endowed with an extraordinary longevity, this company now employs more than 2000 employees worldwide, half of whom are located in the Grasse region. This generates around 450 million turnover per year and is spread over some fifteen factories around the world. What is more, the story of Robertet does not seem ready to end. Indeed, the brand has already planned to invest 40 million euros to modernize and expand its sites in Grasse. In addition, Robertet firmly intends to set up a new aroma extraction unit, to renovate a good number of its logistics equipment and to strengthen its units with more than 1,000 employees. Richard Ibanez should not be short of projects in the next few years and we just have to wait to see what this renowned creator has in store for us in the future.
